itelligence AG presents final figures for first nine months of 2009

• Revenues up 2.7% to MEUR 158.3
• Orders on hand rise year-on-year at MEUR 156.5
• Forecast for 2009 as a whole confirmed

Bielefeld, October 28, 2009 - itelligence AG successfully held its ground in a persistently challenging market environment in the first nine months of 2009 and improved its revenues by 2.7% from MEUR 154.1 to MEUR 158.3. Orders on hand amounted to MEUR 156.5 as of September 30, 2009 and were therefore up on the previous year's figure of MEUR 154.8.

Herbert Vogel, CEO of itelligence AG, said: "Thanks to our solid market position we have continued to grow in spite of the lingering difficulty in the sector environment. We are therefore satisfied with our business performance in the first nine months of 2009. This development, together with our strong orders on hand of MEUR 156.5, has given us grounds for every confidence moving forward in the fourth quarter."

itelligence's revenues in Outsourcing & Services climbed from MEUR 45.1 to MEUR 56.4. Revenues of MEUR 85.2 were generated by consulting activities in the reporting period (previous year: MEUR 88.1), the sale of licenses generated MEUR 16.5 (previous year: MEUR 20.7) while Other revenues generated MEUR 0.2 (previous year: MEUR 0.2). 

Segment revenues broke down as follows after the first nine months of 2009: Germany/Austria reported MEUR 83.6 (previous year: MEUR 80.6), the USA MEUR 37.8 (previous year: MEUR 33.3), Western Europe MEUR 22.7 (previous year: MEUR 25.8), Eastern Europe MEUR 11.7 (previous year: MEUR 11.8) and the segment Other MEUR 2.5 (previous year: MEUR 2.6).

In terms of earnings, itelligence generated EBIT of MEUR 7.0 in the first nine months of 2009 (previous year: MEUR 9.7). This includes impairment on receivables, losses on fixed price projects and reorganization expenses of around MEUR 3.0. Accordingly, the EBIT margin was 4.4% after 6.3% in the same period of 2008. The IFRS net profit for the period amounted to MEUR 4.5 (previous year: MEUR 6.9). Earnings per share were EUR 0.18 after EUR 0.29 in the same period of the previous year.

Norbert Rotter, CFO of itelligence AG, said: "We have reported respectable earnings as of September 30 in the crisis year of 2009. The pick-up in new customer business has given us grounds for optimism in the fourth quarter of 2009 so that we can confirm our forecast for the year. Our goal is to achieve revenues of between MEUR 220 and MEUR 230, while the EBIT margin is expected to be at the upper end of our forecast range of between 4.7% and 5.2%."

itelligence AG presents final figures for H1 2009
Despite the difficult market environment and the global downturn in IT investment, itelligence AG recorded revenue growth of 4.1% in the first six months of the current financial year, from MEUR 101.8 to MEUR 106.0. At MEUR 160.1, orders on hand at the end of the second quarter of 2009 remained essentially unchanged as against the high level of MEUR 160.4 recorded in the previous year.

Despite the extremely difficult market environment and the global downturn in IT investment, itelligence AG recorded revenue growth of 4.1% in the first half of the 2009 financial year, from MEUR 101.8 in the previous year to MEUR 106.0. Revenues in the second quarter of 2009 were down slightly on the previous year at MEUR 52.0 (previous year: MEUR 53.9). At the end of the second quarter, orders on hand were essentially unchanged year-on-year at MEUR 160.1 (previous year: MEUR 160.4).

itelligence AG: Annual General Meeting passes all agenda items with large majority
At today's Annual General Meeting of itelligence AG, Herbert Vogel (CEO) and Norbert Rotter (CFO) reported on the 2008 - the most successful fiscal year in the history of itelligence AG - which ended with the first ever distribution of a dividend of EUR 0.12 per share. The approximately 50 shareholders present approved this proposal, as they did all the other items on the agenda, by a large majority.

With its final figures for the first quarter, itelligence AG has confirmed its good start to the 2009 financial year as a whole. In the first three months of 2009, itelligence recorded revenue growth of +12.7% to MEUR 54.0 (previous year quarter: MEUR 47.9). Orders on hand also increased from MEUR 149.4 at the end of the corresponding prior-year period to MEUR 166.2, thereby almost reaching the high level recorded at year-end 2008 (MEUR 168.5).

itelligence AG has made a largely satisfactory start to the financial year 2009, recording revenue growth of 12.7% from MEUR 47.9 in the first quarter of the previous year to MEUR 54.0 in Q1 2009 despite the weak macroeconomic environment. Orders on hand increased by MEUR 16.8 year-on-year to MEUR 166.2 at the end of the first quarter 2009 (Q1 2008: MEUR 149.4), thereby approaching the high level recorded at year-end 2008 (MEUR 168.5).

In fiscal year 2008, itelligence again improved on the record revenues and earnings it achieved in the previous year. With the presentation of its final figures for fiscal year 2008, itelligence generated revenue growth of 13.5% to MEUR 216.6 after MEUR 190.9 in the previous year, thereby exceeding its own forecasts.

With the publication of its preliminary figures for 2008, itelligence AG looks back onto its most successful year ever. With revenues of MEUR 216 (previous year: MEUR 190.9), itelligence AG exceeded its forecast range of between MEUR 210 and MEUR 214, with a year-on-year improvement of 13.1%. In the fourth quarter of 2008, revenues amounted to MEUR 61.9 after MEUR 54.9 in the equivalent quarter of the previous year. itelligence thus generated a year-on-year improvement of 12.8% in the period.
